Álamos, pertenece al Estado mexicano de Sonora, la ciudad fue fundada a finales de siglo XVII, fue una de las primeras poblaciones españolas en el Estado, atraídos por la riqueza que encontrarían en las minas de plata, es una ciudad colonial que en su época de apogeo se dedicó a la explotación del cobre y la plata, también es conocida como «La Ciudad de los Portales«, aquí encontraremos varios lugares de interés turístico como: «La Iglesia de la Purísima Concepción», construida entre 1802 y 1820, de estilo arquitectónico barroco y neoclásico,»El Palacio Municipal», «La Alameda», «El Callejón del Beso», «La Casa de María Félix» (en esta casa nació la famosa actriz mexicana también llamada «La Doña», ahora funciona como hotel con restaurante, además de tener un museo con algunas de sus pertenecias) «Museo Costumbrista», único en su tipo en todo el Estado de Sonora, fue construído en el siglo XVIII y, tiene un gran acervo cultural en fotografías, documentos, objetos de uso común y maquinaria, que nos hablan de la historia de Sonora.
En Álamos, Sonora, nacieron hombres y mujeres que han pasado a la Historia, entre ellos, Félix Zuloaga, quien fue Presidente de México, el compositor Arturo Márquez Navarro, el tenor Alfonso Ortiz Tirado, y la actriz María Félix, entre otros.

Interesante información pero la foto de la iglesia no corresponde a la Parroquia de Alamos. Lo siento. Si quieres una foto, pidela y te la mando. Estuve en el festival de opera como Artista del Festival de Alamos.

To whom it may concern.
In the end of May, me and my family ( a group of 9 adults) came to Mexico to experience the Copper Canyon and we stayed in El Fuerte Sinaloa.
We stayed in a boutique hotel and the service was excellent. Then we heard of a town called Alamos and we also found in the internet the name of several of the top hotels.
One that we were interested in was hacienda de los Santos. We drove to town, found the hotel and our bad experience started.
I knew it was another boutique hotel and we expected similar treatment. Well the experience was terrible.
When we arrived, I the man at the door asked us if we had reservations. I said that we did not but we wanted to see the rooms to see if they were going to be of our likings.
Well, instead of inviting us in, he left the door closed and went to get another hotel employee. This time it was a lady that as she saw us, she went through the iron gate and once outside she showed us
Two little pieces of paper with the price listing per room. She had this attitude of showing us the prices in hopes for us to get disappointed and leave. Then I asked if she could show us the rooms.
She responded that the hotel tours were not scheduled for that day and that we had to come for a tour until the next day. That is when I realized that she was not going to allow us to even go into the lobby.
I would like to see if anyone can tell me if this is the way that the hotel personnel is trained to treat customers, or if the upper management of this hotel is even aware of this mistreatment.
I work for the largest pharmaceutical company in the world, and please believe me I have been in hotels of great quality in the world, but I have never been treated like that in any of them.
I will send a global e-mail to the company telling them of my experience in your hotel and I will warn anyone from going to your hotel either for pleasure or for business.
I will also send a similar e-mail to the “Camara de Comercio” in Los Mochis and the secretaria de Turismo in Alamos.
If they care about tourist mistreatment, they will do something about it, if not at least I can pre-warn the people I know.
Alamos es un lugar muy bello, pero esa iglesia que está al principio no corresponde a la Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción de Alamos, Sonora.
